2nd XV v Castleford (H) WON 23-19
Took the breeze, the sun, the slope and the lead first half and gave the breeze, the sun, the slope and very nearly the lead back in the second. Tries by our Phil Gray and Sam LLOYD (made by veteran Croft) both converted by ODDY along with an ODDY penalty saw us turn 17-0 in front. Castleford gave away another three points, courtesy of arrow-boot ODDY, for laughing at the referee! 20-0 should have seen us in the bar and pissed by six o' clock but Cas, with a lot of help from weak would-be tackling, stumbled in for 3 tries in between the 61st and 78th minutes; 2 conversions made it 20-19 and all the momentum with the opposition. ODDY banged over a last minute penalty to give us a 4 point lead at the final, of many, whistles.
