Match report MODS 2nd XV's 8 try Halifax romp. Ten tries and three conversions last week and eight and two this. Entertainment was the name of the game again as an early 3-0 deficit was overwhelmed from the moment of our first try by last week's hatrick hero, Phil GRAY. Only 10-3 at half time but we'd shown enough to know the advantage of the downhill, downsun and downwind second half would see us through. FAULKNER scored the other first half effort. The second period brought tries for Geoff CLARKE (2), Chris BURGESS, Rob MURRAY, Mick GORMAN and FAULKNER. I don't think there was a bad Mods' player on the park and by the end everyone was looking for a piece of scoring action but my "Moment of the Match" was Geoff Clarke receiving a ball in his own half and steepling a whopping punt downfield and from the resulting play picking up and driving over the line for a memorable score. Matt put down his train set to pop over a couple of conversions. Conje.
