1st XV v Wetherby LOST 24-30

In the absence of league points and a second team fixture a few fringe players were given a run out this afternoon and for most of the first half we looked capable of running out comfortable winners. Two intercepted long passes put paid to our comfort as Wetherby's right winner scorched in for his gifted brace from 50 and 75 metres. An equally fleet of foot Lee KING sped past loan man, Oddy, down the opposition left for a nice try and the only addition to a tremendously skilful BURGIN barge-over after only 10 minutes. CONNOR'S try 2 minutes after the resumption put us in front again 17-14. Two pens. and a try to Wetherby; a SMART try and conversion made it 24-25 with 10 minutes remaining. Oddy (!!!) settled matters Wetherby's way with the clincher. 24-30.


2nd XV v Halifax (A) CANCELLED (by Halifax, I'm told).

3rd XV v Otley 4th XV (H). WON 8-7
