An entertaining encounter ended in a rare defeat for the Club 3rd XV. Both Oddy and Booth pulled further away at the top of the season's scoring charts: Alastair Booth notching his 21st try of the campaign. In the wet and muddy conditions, forward power stole the day. They had too many big-uns for our defence to repel close to the line. Mods had a clear edge when running it wide but the wind and rain dictated most of the play down the middle of the park. Being just about the only game in the north of England to survive the recent downpours led to the Bedquilt's men's bumper gate: the 11 trekking from far and wide across the Broad Acres! Thanks for a good game. Better than staying home watching television any day.
